Rather than simply handing out donated items, we take the time to curate the furnishings in a custom setting and partner with social workers to showcase them to perspective recipients. This process ends up giving the recipients much more than the furnishings to make a home – it gives them a sense of self-respect and dignity.
When considering what to donate, please select items that are in good condition. We strive to have items that our clients would be proud to have in their homes! The donations must be clean and in good condition without rips, tears, stains, pet hairs, pet/ tobacco odors, excessive wear or structural damage. Furnish for Good has the right to decline any donation that does not match the appearance of photos submitted or that is unsuitable for our clients.
Donations to FURNISH FOR GOOD may be used in any of the charitable programs of FURNISH FOR GOOD and, on a limited basis, may be made available for purchase by the public and in partnerships with Southend Exchange and Classic Attic. All monetary contributions and proceeds from the sale of items donated to FURNISH FOR GOOD are used to support ongoing services of FURNISH FOR GOOD.
